Do you have an accountability partner!?

Accountability has been one of the biggest game changers for me on my wellness journey.

A while back I asked you guys what your biggest struggle was on your fitness journey. Majority of the answers came back the same: you struggle to stay consistent👎🏼

I understand the struggle because I was there too. The only thing I was consistent with was being inconsistent. So having an accountability partner had a HUGE impact on every aspect of my wellness journey.

It has helped me:
💫push my limits
💫consistently show up (because someone else is expecting me to)
💫stay on track when I want to quit
💫get called out when I’m not doing my best

Accountability isn’t just necessary with fitness. You can find a partner for anything you struggle with.

-Not reading your Bible? Join a small group!
-Not eating how you’d like to be? Join a healthy living group!
-Struggling with negative self talk? Find someone to call you out!

When was the last time you rested!?

On my stories this morning I shared how I’ve always struggled to rest. I have always felt the need to be busy. So much so that guilt eats me alive when I’m laying on the couch watching TV.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After getting punched in the gut by Luke 10:38-42 in my devotional this morning, I knew I needed to make some serious changes.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So for the next week I am taking a break from social media. I find myself feeling more inadequate and restless when I spend more time on here. For the next week I will be doing things that fill me with joy and rejuvenate me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today started with some hard work and ended with some GREAT rest at the lake. I feel most at peace here. Now I’m going to delete all my social apps and lay on the couch and watch tv guilt free.

Do something today that makes you feel rested!
