Ways To Practice Self Love Today

I have talked about the importance of self care on here many times before. Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I thought it was especially important to talk about self love today. Personally, I think this “holiday” is completely pointless. The worst thing you could do today is throw yourself a pity party.

It doesn’t matter if you are single or in a committed relationship, everyone needs some self love in their life. Pick a few of these activities to love a little extra on yourself today. Remember to always treat yo self!

It is important for every young adult to practice self love often. Here are some tips to help you take some time for yourself today!

Buy Something That Makes You Feel Nice

Start off your day of self love with buying yourself something you’ve had your eye on. One of the best feelings is getting new clothes (or undies) and making yourself feel beautiful. Keep in mind that you are beautiful no matter what. However, there is nothing wrong with buying a little something that makes you feel more confident. Plus you can wear whatever you buy for the rest of the day 😀

Get Yourself A Treat

Get a box of assorted chocolates or your favorite dessert. Take a cheat day and don’t feel guilty about it. My favorite self love practice is getting myself a sweet treat. But let’s be real, I’m always down for a good dessert. If you are more of a foodie, go out or make yourself some dinner.

Pamper Yourself

One of the best self love practices is pampering. Whether it is taking a bubble bath or doing a face mask, take some time to pamper. You could grab your best gal and hit a nail salon as well! I suggest checking out Groupon for a discount on a spa experience.

Practice Self Love With Journaling

You can grab a journal and write a love letter to yourself or even to a future spouse. Write down everything you want to achieve in the future, everything you are feeling now, and what you are most proud of. Use journaling as an outlet for you to share everything you are feeling.

Practice Self Care Often
